Getting Started with PulsePay
Step 1: Download and Install
- Download the PulsePay app from Google Play Store or download the APK directly
- Install the app on your Android device
- Grant necessary permissions for camera, fingerprint scanner, and storage
Step 2: Create Your Account
- Open the PulsePay app
- Enter your mobile number and verify with OTP
- Fill in your personal details (name, email, date of birth)
- Upload a clear photo of your government ID for verification
- Wait for account verification (usually takes 24-48 hours)
Step 3: Set Up Biometric Authentication
- Go to Security Settings in the app
- Select "Add Fingerprint"
- Place your finger on the device scanner when prompted
- Repeat the process to capture your fingerprint from multiple angles
- Add up to 5 different fingerprints for backup
Step 4: Create Your Security PIN
- Choose a 6-digit PIN that you can remember
- Avoid using obvious patterns (123456, 111111, etc.)
- Confirm your PIN by entering it again
- Set up PIN recovery questions
Step 5: Add Money to Your Wallet
- Tap on "Add Money" in the home screen
- Choose your preferred payment method:
- UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
- Debit/Credit Card
- Net Banking
- Bank Transfer
- Enter the amount you want to add
- Complete the payment using your chosen method
- Money will be added to your wallet instantly
Making Payments
Sending Money to Friends
- Tap "Send Money" on the home screen
- Enter recipient's phone number or select from contacts
- Enter the amount to send
- Add a note (optional)
- Authenticate with fingerprint + PIN
- Confirm the transaction
Paying Merchants
- Look for the PulsePay logo at participating merchants
- Tell the merchant your registered phone number
- Confirm the payment amount on their device
- Place your finger on the scanner
- Enter your 6-digit PIN
- Payment completed!
Device-Independent Payments
- In emergency situations, use any PulsePay-enabled device
- Select "Guest Payment" option
- Enter your registered phone number
- Place your finger on the scanner
- Enter your PIN when prompted
- Complete your transaction
Security Best Practices
- Never share your PIN with anyone
- Keep your registered phone number updated
- Review transaction history regularly
- Report suspicious activity immediately
- Use strong, unique PINs
- Log out from shared devices
Troubleshooting
Fingerprint Not Recognized?
- Clean your finger and the scanner
- Try a different registered finger
- Ensure your finger covers the entire scanner
- Re-register your fingerprint if problems persist
Transaction Failed?
- Check your internet connection
- Verify sufficient wallet balance
- Ensure recipient details are correct
- Try again after a few minutes
