Getting Started with PulsePay

Step 1: Download and Install

  1. Download the PulsePay app from Google Play Store or download the APK directly
  2. Install the app on your Android device
  3. Grant necessary permissions for camera, fingerprint scanner, and storage

Step 2: Create Your Account

  1. Open the PulsePay app
  2. Enter your mobile number and verify with OTP
  3. Fill in your personal details (name, email, date of birth)
  4. Upload a clear photo of your government ID for verification
  5. Wait for account verification (usually takes 24-48 hours)

Step 3: Set Up Biometric Authentication

  1. Go to Security Settings in the app
  2. Select "Add Fingerprint"
  3. Place your finger on the device scanner when prompted
  4. Repeat the process to capture your fingerprint from multiple angles
  5. Add up to 5 different fingerprints for backup

Step 4: Create Your Security PIN

  1. Choose a 6-digit PIN that you can remember
  2. Avoid using obvious patterns (123456, 111111, etc.)
  3. Confirm your PIN by entering it again
  4. Set up PIN recovery questions

Step 5: Add Money to Your Wallet

  1. Tap on "Add Money" in the home screen
  2. Choose your preferred payment method:
    • UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
    • Debit/Credit Card
    • Net Banking
    • Bank Transfer
  3. Enter the amount you want to add
  4. Complete the payment using your chosen method
  5. Money will be added to your wallet instantly

Making Payments

Sending Money to Friends

  1. Tap "Send Money" on the home screen
  2. Enter recipient's phone number or select from contacts
  3. Enter the amount to send
  4. Add a note (optional)
  5. Authenticate with fingerprint + PIN
  6. Confirm the transaction

Paying Merchants

  1. Look for the PulsePay logo at participating merchants
  2. Tell the merchant your registered phone number
  3. Confirm the payment amount on their device
  4. Place your finger on the scanner
  5. Enter your 6-digit PIN
  6. Payment completed!

Device-Independent Payments

  1. In emergency situations, use any PulsePay-enabled device
  2. Select "Guest Payment" option
  3. Enter your registered phone number
  4. Place your finger on the scanner
  5. Enter your PIN when prompted
  6. Complete your transaction

Security Best Practices

  • Never share your PIN with anyone
  • Keep your registered phone number updated
  • Review transaction history regularly
  • Report suspicious activity immediately
  • Use strong, unique PINs
  • Log out from shared devices

Troubleshooting

Fingerprint Not Recognized?

  • Clean your finger and the scanner
  • Try a different registered finger
  • Ensure your finger covers the entire scanner
  • Re-register your fingerprint if problems persist

Transaction Failed?

  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify sufficient wallet balance
  • Ensure recipient details are correct
  • Try again after a few minutes
